I didnt know how to move on
when you said our relationship was through
because everyday i thought of how
how I yearned for you.
I stayed out in the rain
so it would wash away my tears
but you were still in my head
along with the rest of my fears
When you wouldnt talk to me
it felt like my wounds were rubbed with salt
I hated myself for a year
before i realised it wasnt my fault
Another year has passed
with only faded thoughts of you
i no longer cry, yearn or fight
because i know now what to do
You will always be a great memory
and thats all you are to me
because now that i am stronger
i know that i am free
“Love feels no burden, regards not labors, strives toward more than it attains, argues not of impossibility, since it believes that it may and can do all things. Therefore it avails for all things, and fulfils and accomplishes much where one not a lover falls and lies helpless”.
Thomas à Kempis (1380-1471), German monk, mystic, in The Imitation of Christ, pt. 3, ch. 6 (1471).
“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life…You give them a piece of you. They didn’t ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like smile at you, and then your life isn’t your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like ‘maybe we should be just friends’ turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It’s a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love”.
- Neil Gaiman
I am pale with longing for my beloved;
People believe I am ill.
Seizing on every possible pretext,
I try to meet him “by accident.”
They have sent for a country doctor;
He grabs my arm and prods it;
How can he diagnose my pain?
It’s in my heart that I am afflicted.
Go home, country doctor,
Don’t address me by my name;
It’s the name of God that has wounded me,
Don’t force your medicines on me.
The sweetness of his lips is a pot of nectar,
That’s the only curd for which I crave;
Mira’s Lord is Giridhar Naagar.
He will feed me nectar again and again.

Sweet dreams, my sweet,
Until the next day we meet.
Another eternity without your lovely face.
Another eternity longing for your embrace.
A long short while measured in tick-tocks.
How cruel, the so slow hand of the clock.
And time spent near
Is time spent dear.
To hear your laugh, a lifting litany.
To see your smile, a portrait of beauty.
To feel your touch, a searing delicacy.
What more could want and not be gotten?
Just a few moments more of precious heaven.
Sweet dreams, my darling,
Until tomorrow’s dawning.
Bright new hours of torturous fire
To ponder away upon thoughts of desire.
I used to be okay,
I used to be strong.
But the walls around me crumbled,
And my life became wrong.
The lies crept in on silent feet.
Poisoning my neurotic mind,
Slowly wrapping me in defeat.
I lied when I said I didn’t love you.
I lied when I said I could move on.
I lied when I said you didn’t matter,
And I lied when I said it didn’t hurt.
You were the catalyst,
Detroying everything in sight.
You broke me down,
And I was too weak to fight.
Now you are gone,
Yet your corrosive effect remains.
I await within my insanity to see you again,
For my blood to race and my heart stop.
I’m just dying for you to get on top.
Own me, control me, violate me.
End the aching and just…
Take me for all I can be.
I surrender myself completely;
Mind, body, and soul.
But you had your chance,
And my weakened morals were worth nothing.
It was simply a meaningless, tormenting dance.
What you still want, I shall never know.
But I would wait for you till the end of eternity,
If only you would tell me so.

(Hindhi Movie Song)
Main Jahaan Rahoon
Main Kahin Bhi Hoon
Teri Yaad Saaath Hai
Kisi Se Kahoon
Ke Nahi Kahoon
Yeh Jo Dil Ki Baat Hai
Kehne Ko Saath Apane Ek Duniya Chalti Hai
Per Chhupke Is Dil Mein Tanhaayi Palti Hai
Bas Yaad Saath Hai
Teri Yaad Saaath Hai
Main Jahaan Rahoon
Main Kahin Bhi Hoon
Teri Yaad Saaath Hai
Kahin To Dil Mein Yaadon Ki
Ek Suli Gad Jaati Hai
Kahin Har Ek Tasveer Bhahut Hi Dhondhali Pad Jati Hai
Koi Nayi Duniya Ke Naye Rango Mein Khush Rehta Hai
Koi Sab Kuch Paake Bhi Yeh Mann Hi Mann Kehta Hai
Kehne Ko Saath Apane Ek Duniya Chalti Hai
Per Chhupke Is Dil Mein Tanhaayi Palti Hai
Bas Yaad Saath Hai
Teri Yaad Saaath Hai - 3
Kahin To Beete Kal Ki Jadein
Dil Mein Hi Utar Jaati Hai
Kahin Jo Dhage Tute To Malaayen Bhikar Jaati
Koi Dil Mein Jagah Nayi, Baaton Ke Liye Rakhta Hai
Koi Apni Palko Par Yaadon Ke Diye Rakhta Hai
Kehne Ko Saath Apane Ek Duniya Chalti Hai
Per Chhupke Is Dil Mein Tanhaayi Palti Hai
Bas Yaad Saath Hai
Teri Yaad Saaath Hai
You and I are both lonely,
Lost in our own worlds,
Trying to find ourselves,
Trying to find each other.
A sweet dream it would be,
To awaken in your arms,
To be able to kiss your lips,
To have such a precious gift.
I yearn for your company,
Though we are lost in what to do,
Lost in our own worlds,
Let us be lost together.
Take my hand and bid farewell
To confusion and the loneliness,
You and I will finally be one,
Living within our own sweet love.
